Vision

To work with the coordination of other departments for constructing and maintaining irrigation structures, mainly dams and regulators for water storage, with a view to providing infrastructure support to farmers of the state for maximizing the agriculture productivity, provide lateral support to Local bodies to meet their drinking water demand during summer and provide a source of water for KWA when needed, thereby aiming at improving the social and economic well being of the common people and thus, to the society as a whole.

Mission

The mission of this office is to coordinate  planning, investigation and execution of major and medium irrigation projects, to monitor the efficiency of each completed projects and to provide infrastructure for proper maintenance of all completed projects so that the goal of equitable water distribution for agriculture and water distribution aimed at social upliftment of the common people is achieved to the full extent.
