Right to Information (RTI)
Right to Information means the right to information accessible under this Act which is held by or under the control of any public authority. This empowers citizens to seek information, thereby promoting transparency and accountability in the working of the Government. The right includes:
Fee for Providing the Information
The information shall be provided to the applicant on payment of a requisite fee. The details of the fee structure are as follows:

Waiver of Fee (Delayed Information)
No fee is required to be paid if the public authority fails to provide information within the specified time limits, in which case the information is supplied free of cost.
Time Limit for Disposal of Request
A request shall be disposed of as expeditiously as possible, subject to the maximum time limits specified below based on the nature of the request:

| If the request involves information pertaining to the allegation of human rights violation in relation to specified Intelligence and Security Organization | 45 Days |
