Mechanical wing, which is an integral part of the Irrigation Department, is entrusted with the works related to all mechanical structures of Irrigation projects, machinery of all Government departments, operation of dredger fleet and other technical matters referred by the Government. The mechanical wing is led by the Chief Engineer, Mechanical stationed at Public Office Building, Thiruvananthapuram.
