Regulator Cum Bridge Across Thirur Chamathachal River At Chamathachal In Payyavoor Panchayath

It has 7 vents having 12 m span and 7.5 m carriageway. The main purpose of this scheme is to irrigate garden land having an ayacut area of 2231.46 Ha. A permanent weir of 2 m height has constructed at the bottom of the RCB above which 4 m MS shutter has been erected. So total storage height of his RCB comes 6 m. It can store 0.75Mm3 water during summer season. Shutters of this RCB can operate both electrically and by using generator. This scheme is functioning this year (2020) onwards. Maintenance works such as lubricating shutters and motor become essential for the smooth functioning this RCB in coming years.
