Contractor's Corner

The Irrigation Department executes its works through contracting. Contractors are selected through a competitive bidding process, and works are awarded to the lowest responsive bidder. Bids (tenders) are open to all contractors registered with the Irrigation Department, or with any other recognized organization under the State Government or Government of India, irrespective of registration status, provided they fulfil the qualification criteria set out in the bid document. For works costing above ₹5 Crores, a pre-qualification tender process is followed.

To improve efficiency and transparency in the execution of works, and to bring about constructive changes in the interaction between contractors and the Department, an online Contractor's Portal has been developed for the Irrigation Department. This portal is envisaged as a central platform for all contractors registered with the Department, covering the following activities:

Portal Activities

  1. Contractor licensing and renewal.
  2. Contract agreement execution and related matters.
  3. Viewing details of works awarded to a contractor, submitting applications related to those works, viewing measurements of work done, and entering measurements of work done (for works above ₹5 Crores).
  4. Handling other matters related to works awarded to a contractor.
  5. Contractor performance monitoring.

In order to access these services, a contractor is required to register on this portal and obtain a user ID and password.
