Contractor Registration
As per the revised PWD Manual-2012, Sections 1900 and 2000, only persons registered as a contractor with the Irrigation Department, Kerala PWD, or a recognized organization under the State Government or Government of India, are entitled to submit tenders for works. The rules for registration of contractors are given below.
Presently, contractor registrations are carried out in the Irrigation Department, PWD and LSGD, based on the provisions of the PWD Manual and related Government orders. A prospective contractor can register with any of these departments, in an eligible category, depending on their expertise and financial standing.
A centralised online system has been developed as part of the PRICE software systems for the submission of new applications for Contractor Registration. From 1st July 2020, all new Contractor Licence applications in the Irrigation Department shall be submitted through this online system.
